Early Career and ECB Experience
In 1990, Raymond kicked off his career with an internship at the European Central Bank (ECB) as an Assistant Economic Observer. By 1996, he became an Economic Analyst at the ECB. Fast forward to 2001, he started managing reserve funds, and by 2003, he was overseeing over $70 billion in hedge fund assets.
Dissatisfaction and Shift to Equity Markets
Raymond noticed that hedge funds were often manipulated by political forces and capital controls, used more as profit tools than fair market players.
